My Story

I started as a developer and then moved into leading teams as both a Software Development Manager and a Technical Project Manager. During my career:

  • Worked for large corporations & small startups
  • Development contracts for NASA’s GSFC and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab
  • Hired many engineers and became an expert at building and leading teams that deliver
  • AS (Engineering), BS (Engineering/Physics), MS (Computer Science), MBA (Accounting)

Vector Recruiting

With my background of 15+ years in the technical industry developing software, leading teams along with extensive experience as a hiring manager, I found that I really enjoyed the process of building teams and interacting with candidates and business customers. As a result, I decided to make the hiring process my focus and start Vector Recruiting.

My goal is to help your company find great talent for both developing your products as well as securing your organization. By leveraging my expertise, extensive experience in the field and technical knowledge I find you the right candidates that are a good technical and cultural fit for your company.

My company values were developed with my team building and hands on hiring experiences in mind. I understand your time is valuable. With Vector Recruiting:

  • All interactions are succinct
  • Focus is on your needs and how best to meet them
  • Provide you with quality candidates (quality over quantity)

In addition to the engineering and development talent needed to build your business, you also need to ensure your company’s assets are protected.

With the prevalence of cyberattacks, a small and midsize business (SMB) needs to have a robust cybersecurity program in place to prevent, detect and recover from incidents. Governance, compliance as well as third-party risk management, threat intelligence and continuity planning need to be considered.

Security professionals are essential to keep your business running smoothly. I work closely with a cybersecurity consultant to review both client requirements and candidates to ensure the best fit for your organization.

With over 400,000 unfilled cybersecurity positions as well as high demand for Software Engineering professionals, clients come to me to help them navigate the competitive technical job market.

Giving Back

In addition, I give back to the technical community by providing mentoring to both junior developers looking for their first technical job and mid career professionals looking to update their technical skills - especially cybersecurity skills.

Awards

Have won numerous professional awards both as an individual contributor and as a team lead including Employee of the Year and an Innovative Delivery award for finding and recruiting numerous employees.
